Dr. Brian Stotland
Dr. Stotland MD, CM, FRCP has been Head of the Division of Gastroenterology at Southlake Regional Health Centre since 2013, where he previously served as President of the Medical Staff, head of the Institutional Review Board and Chief of Medicine [interim]. He is also the hospital’s Endoscopy Lead to Cancer Care Ontario, He is an Assistant Professor [part-time] at the University of Toronto.
He graduated with a B.Sc. and then MD from McGill University. He completed internship at Cornell University and residency in internal medicine at Boston University. He then completed separate fellowships in gastroenterology and advanced therapeutic endoscopy at the University of Pennsylvania. He then returned to Boston University as Assistant Professor of Medicine, Director of Endoscopic Ultrasound and later as Clinical Director.
Dr. Stotland is a Royal College of Canada certified gastroenterologist and has been taking care of patients with gastrointestinal diseases, with a specific focus and interest in ulcerative colitis and Crohn’s disease, for over 20 years.
